2023 Nissan Armada Changes, Features, Price, Interior, Release Date

The current generation of Nissan’s full-size SUV has been around since 2016 and if we consider the last year’s refresh, it’s pretty much a certain thing that the full redesign won’t happen in the next few years. This also means that the 2023 Nissan Armada is about to carry on in the same way. The overall design will remain untouched, though we won’t exclude the possibility to see minor updates in terms of new standard features, new color options etc.

You may count on familiar design characteristics and features. Despite the age, this model still has a lot of good things to offer. We like its spacious and well-equipped cabin, which also features pretty impressive build quality for the class. The engine is capable too, while the 7-speed automatic transmission does a fine job. On the other hand, the cargo area could be larger, while the fuel economy is among the lowest in the class.

With no changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Nissan Armada’s launch date will be scheduled for the last quarter of 2022.

2023 Nissan Armada Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the current generation of Armada has been around since 2016. However, the actual design of the SUV is much older. This model is pretty much a rebadged version of the internationally-famous Patrol, which actually features a decade-old design. Still, the ride quality is good, especially in terms of handling, so it’s hard to imagine that this SUV could be that old.

Also, keep in mind the last year’s update. That facelift has brought a lot of changes, which make this SUV look very fresh. Most of the novelties came to the front end, in terms of new, futuristic headlights, new grille, bumper etc. We are pretty sure that the 2023 Nissan Armada won’t bring any styling changes. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see things like new color options.

Interior

The inside of the 2023 Nissan Armada shouldn’t change either. Simply, the last year’s refresh has brought a couple of interesting novelties, including a new infotainment screen. So, it’s hard to believe that bigger updates could occur in the near future. The current cabin looks nice, while w particularly like the materials, as well as the overall build quality, is at a pretty impressive level too.

Besides good overall quality, this cabin also offers respectable passenger room. Three rows of seats are standard, and all of them are quite functional. Of course, the first and the second row of seats are very generous with space and pretty comfortable. On the other hand, the third row is tighter, but still quite functional.

The cargo area offers around 16.5 cubic feet behind the third row, 49.9 cubic feet behind the second row and 95.4 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. While that’s a lot of space, keep in mind that rivals like Toyota Sequoia and GMC Yukon offer way more.

Features

We don’t believe that the next year’s model could bring too many novelties in this aspect but a couple of changes are always possible. In any case, most of the things will remain the same as in the current model. So, base versions should come equipped with dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch touch screen, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, four USB ports, a four-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth. The list of options should include a six-speaker stereo, a 13-speaker Bose stereo, wireless device charging, a second-row entertainment system, a moonroof, a household-style power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, and a remote start.

When it comes to safety, all models will come standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, parking sensors etc.

2023 Nissan Armada Engine

Of course, the 2023 Nissan Armada will carry on in the same way under the hood. So, you may count on a well-known 5.6-liter V8, which features a max output of 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. That’s a quite respectable amount of power, which ensures pretty good driving dynamics. Furthermore, the 7-speed automatic transmission does a fine job too.

While the overall performance is pretty good, the Armada has a big issue in terms of fuel economy. This large V8 returns just around 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway, which is among the lowest ratings in the class.

No changes mean that the 2023 Nissan Armada should arrive sometime in the last quarter of 2022. The pricing shouldn’t change either, so base models will probably go around 50.000 dollars.
