2024 Ford Bronco Might Get Mid-Cycle Update

0

The legendary nameplate was revived just a year ago and looks like the Blue Oval company is already working on a mid-cycle update. Allegedly, this refresh will come with the 2024 Ford Bronco, which will represent the fourth production year of the generation. At this point, it is still unclear what kind of changes we are about to see, but most experts suggest certain aesthetical revisions. Other than that, we don’t believe that bigger changes could occur. Still, there is always a possibility to see new packages, special editions and similar things.

In any case, the overall layout will remain the same. The 2024 Ford Bronco will continue with a design that has so many great things to offer. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the excellent off-road performance, but we also like the model’s capable powertrain options, as well as the spacious interior of the four-door model.

Despite the potential updates, we don’t believe that the 2024 Ford Bronco could arrive before the second half of 2023.

2024 Ford Bronco Design

As we’ve just mentioned, many sources suggest that the 2024 Ford Bronco is about to receive a mid-cycle refresh. In this update, we presume that the focus would be on aesthetics. The new model would come with a couple of styling updates, though we don’t believe that any radical modifications could happen. On the other hand, we won’t be surprised if we see things like new appearance packages etc.

On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle shouldn’t change. We are about to see the same setup, which has so many great things to offer, especially in terms of off-roading. The front suspension is independent, while the rear end comes with a solid axle. Also, the transmission comes with gear ratios that are optimized for off-roading, while there are also various traction control modes. Of course, you may also count on pieces of hardware like locking differentials, multiple skid plates, disconnecting sway bar, low-speed cruise control etc.

Interior

This aspect probably won’t change much. Simply, the current cabin is perfectly adapted to the model’s off-road nature. The dashboard is bold and upright, with lots of handles. It looks rugged but at the same time, the materials are more than decent, and the build quality is good. Furthermore, there is a long list of tech and convenience features, which make this Bronco comfortable and easy to live with.

2024 Ford Bronco Interior

Just like the key rival Jeep Wrangler, the Bronco is also offered in two variants. The two-door model features a short wheelbase and it is all about providing excellent off-road performance. On the other hand, the four-door version is significantly bigger and also offers plenty of space in the second row. Moreover, the cargo area is also very generous. You may count on about 35.6 and 77.6 with the hardtop version, while the soft top version provides even more – 38 and 83 cubic feet.

Features

Novelties in this aspect are always possible but we believe that most things are about to remain the same as in the current model. Therefore, base versions should come equipped with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, an analog speedometer, remote keyless entry, push-button start, and remote start.

Among upgrades, expect to find goodies like a 12-inch touch screen, navigation, a 10-speaker sound system, wireless device charging, and two additional USB ports, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, and proximity keyless entry.

2024 Ford Bronco Engines

We expect that the powertrain lineup will remain the same in the 2024 Ford Bronco. Therefore, the base models will continue with a good-old 2.3-liter turbo-four, which in this version puts out around 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. What’s important to mention is that this engine is, besides the 10-speed automatic, also available with a 7-speed manual transmission. The average fuel economy goes around 20 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway.

The mid-range option is a 2.7-liter turbo V6, which puts out 325 horsepower and a pretty impressive 400 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available with a 10-speed automatic only and delivers around 19 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

Finally, there is the Bronco Raptor, which comes with a 3.0-liter V6 and a max output of more than 400 horsepower.

2024 Ford Bronco Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2024 Ford Bronco will arrive sometime in the second half of 2023, with a starting price of around 33.000 dollars. Of course, Jeep Wrangler and Toyota 4Runner will remain the key competitors.
