2023 Chevy Traverse Premier: Review, Redline, White, Price, Features, Colors

0

After the last year’s facelift, which has brought a lot of interesting novelties, we expect that the 2023 model year will come without more important changes. We expect to see a familiar layout that refers to all trim levels, including the 2023 Chevy Traverse Premier, which is one of the highest grades in offer. It is characterized by a long list of standard equipment, as well as a number of exclusive styling details.

On the other hand, the overall design is pretty much the same as in the rest of the lineup. Therefore, you may count on a crossover that still has a lot of great things to offer, starting from a very spacious cabin and a very generous cargo area, a comfortable ride and a pretty capable powertrain. On the other hand, the main complaints still go to things like subpar interior quality, uninspiring handling etc.

We expect that the 2023 Chevy Traverse Premier will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Chevy Traverse Premier Design

In terms of the base design, the 2023 Chevy Traverse Premier will carry on in the same way. Just like the rest of the lineup, it receive a facelift last year. That update included various changes, starting from the new front fascia, new headlights, wheels etc. Also, it’s important to mention that this model comes with several exclusive features. Some of the highlights are unique grille color and pattern, chromed roof-mounted side rails, exclusive 20-inch wheels etc. Also, we know that the 2023 Traverse will bring a couple of new color options, Radiant Red Tintcoat and Sterling Gray Metallic. However, we still don’t know if these colors will be offered in the Premier trim.

When it comes to mechanics, expect no surprises. This crossover rides on a good-old C1 platform and offers quite a smooth and comfortable ride. This is primarily a family hauler, so don’t expect too engaging handling. If you’re up for something sportier, you may check competitors like the Mazda CX-9 or Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Interior

The same thing is with interior design. We are about to see the same layout, which hasn’t received too many updates with the recent refresh. The cabin looks nice but most rivals look nicer. Simply, the build quality is good but the choice of materials is a little bit disappointing.

What definitely won’t disappoint you is the amount of space. Thanks to the very long wheelbase, which goes up to nearly 121 inches, it’s no wonder that all three rows accommodate adults with ease. Even the third row is adult-friendly and offers a decent level of comfort.

The cargo area is also pretty impressive. You may count on about 23 cubic feet behind the third row, 57.8 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 98.2 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That puts Traverse among class leaders.

Features

When it comes to standard features, this is one of the best-equipped models in Traverse’s range. All models come standard with goodies like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, six USB ports, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, tri-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, 10-speaker stereo, a 120-volt household-style power outlet, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, hands-free power liftgate etc.

When it comes to safety features, you may count on goodies like automatic high beams, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, navigation, a surround-view parking camera system etc.

2023 Chevy Traverse Premier Engine

In this aspect, the Traverse Premier is the same as the rest of the lineup. So, you may count on a familiar 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the whole system feels quite refined. More importantly, the powertrain is pretty capable and besides strong acceleration, also offers the max towing capacity of 5.000 pounds.

Base models come standard with front-wheel drive, while the AWD model is available. When it comes to fuel economy, 2WD models are good for about 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, which is typical for the class. Of course, models with all-wheel drive are slightly thirstier.

2023 Chevy Traverse Premier Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Chevy Traverse Premier will hit the market in the last quarter of the year. Base FWD models should go around 47.000 dollars, while versions with all-wheel drive should go around $50.000.
