2023 Chevy Tahoe: Interior, Colors, Electric, SS, Z71

0

The new generation of Chevy’s full-size SUV has just been redesigned and the new model brings so many improvements over its predecessor. It is more comfortable, more capable and more refined, which all leads us to the conclusion that no bigger changes are about to come in the next few years. Therefore, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe should continue in the same way. We are about to see a familiar layout and features, though we can also hear rumors about the high-performance version.

In any case, you may count on familiar characteristics. This SUV has plenty of great things to offer, starting from three capable engine options, a cavernous cabin, a long list of standard and available equipment etc. There aren’t many things to complain about, though the ride can be a little bit rough in certain situations.

Considering that there are no notable changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe definitely won’t change. This model has just been redesigned and the new generation has brought a lot of great improvements. The new model is significantly lighter and also offers better handling and overall driving experience, mostly thanks to the standard independent rear suspension. Of course, there is also new styling, so it’s quite easy to conclude that no bigger changes are about to come in the next year.

Still, we can rear rumors that speculate about the high-performance version of the SUV. Allegedly, the biggest novelty for the next year will be the “SS” badged version. We would see all kinds of upgrades, starting from upgraded suspension, more aggressive styling and maybe even a more powerful engine under the hood. However, the actual chances to see such a version in production are almost zero.

Interior

We definitely don’t expect to see changes on the inside for the next year. Simply, the recent redesign has brought a lot of improvements, starting from a more attractive dashboard design. The new cabin features nicer materials, while the build quality is also a little bit better. Also, there are new tech features that make everything look even more upscale.

Still, that won’t be the biggest quality of the 2023 Chevy Tahoe interior. This SUV is mostly about interior space and overall practicality. The new generation has brought more space for the passengers, especially in the third row, which can not accommodate adults with ease. The first two rows are as spacious as they’ve always been.

The cargo area offers some of the best numbers in the class. You may count on 25.5 cubic feet behind the third-row seats and 72.6 cubic feet with those seats folded. The overall cargo volume goes up to nearly 123 cubic feet, which is way more than you get from Ford Expedition, which is Tahoe’s biggest rival.

Features

We are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same in terms of standard and available features, though there is always room for a couple of novelties. So, the list of standard equipment should be pretty similar to the current model, which comes standard with tri-zone climate control, two household-style power outlets, keyless entry, remote start, a 10.2-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and eight USB ports.

When it comes to the upgrades, the current model comes with optional features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, navigation, a second-row entertainment system, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, 10-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo, a panoramic sunroof, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Engines

Things under the hood definitely won’t change for the next year. So, we count on three familiar engine options on the offer. Base models will continue with a 5.3-liter V8, which puts out around 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. If you want something more capable, there is a 6.2-liter V8. This one puts out around 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Both V8 units are capable, but also quite thirsty. Therefore, the optional 3.0-liter V6 seems like a great choice if fuel economy is the thing that concerns you. This engine puts out 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, while the average fuel economy goes around 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is really impressive for a full-size SUV.

All three engines come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022. The starting price should go around 51.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia etc.
