By The current generation of Porsche’s mid-size crossover has been around for a couple of years and the latest reports suggest we could see a three-row version in the near future, maybe already as the 2024 Porsche Cayenne three-row SUV. If we consider that there is a pretty big demand for three-row SUVs in North America, this makes perfect sense. Porsche doesn’t have a three-row SUV in its lineup, which most rivals do, so there is no doubt that such a vehicle would have the potential to attract a good number of potential buyers.
On the other hand, some sources suggest that this won’t be just a stretehced version of Cayenne. Instead, we might see a completely new model, with a different design and even with a different architecture, which would allow all kinds of new tech solutions. At this point, we are still waiting to hear from officials.
If we can trust rumors, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne three-row SUV could arrive already by the end of the next year.

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the overall design. One of the possible scenarios is to see a stretched version of the current model, which makes perfect sense, especially if we consider that the current generation is still relatively fresh on the market. In that case, the three-row SUV would be based on a familiar MLB platform and most of the parts, whether it’s about mechanics or aesthetics, would be shared with the standard Cayenne.
However, there is also a pretty big group of our insiders that suggest a completely different scenario. In that case, this would be an all-new vehicle, a new flagship model, which would be positioned above the 2024 Porsche Cayenne. Moreover, the same sources suggest a pretty unique design approach, different from the Cayenne, which would combine crossover and design solutions.
Interior
Naturally, the main characteristic of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne three-row interior would be the additional row of seats. At this point, it’s still early to talk about details and speculate about the space and comfort of the third row. Still, we presume it should be spacious enough to accommodate adults in a decent manner.

On the other hand, the front part of the cabin may come with a dashboard design that’s heavily inspired by the Cayenne and Macan model. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see something completely new, especially if Porsche is about to come up with a completely new design. In that case, the new model would also come with all kinds of new tech features, whether it’s about safety or convenience.

Most experts agree that the 2024 Porsche Cayenne would come in two different variants. One of them would be a hybrid powertrain, while the other one would be full electrification. The later version would be a few years after the initial launch, we suppose.
When it comes to the hybrid powertrain, we presume the 2024 Porsche Cayenne three-row SUV might use the same units as the standard two-row Cayenne. This would actually mean two plug-in hybrid powertrains. The first one is based on a 3.0-liter V8 engine and it puts out around 455 horsepower, which is enough to move the standard version from zero to sixty in about 4.8 seconds.
The more powerful version comes based on a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and the combined output goes all away up to 760 horsepower. With all that power, the standard Cayenne needs just 3.6 seconds to hit 60 mph.
Also, we presume that the 2024 Porsche Cayenne three-row SUV would come with a bigger battery, which would ensure a greater all-electric range.

At this point, we are still waiting for the official confirmation but if we can trust the latest reports, the new model could arrive already by the end of the next year. We estimate that the starting price would go a little under 100.000 dollars.
