The 2024 GMC Hummer EV2 SUV will be one of them. More precisely, it will be the most basic version of the SUV, with a way more affordable price than the flagship Edition 1 model. From what we’ve managed to find out so far, it looks like this model will hit the market in the first half of the next year.
Compared to more expensive versions, this trim will have some notable differences. It will come with two instead of three electric motors, as well as with a smaller battery. Furthermore, the list of standard equipment will include those removable roof panes, so even the base version will be able to turn into a convertible SUV. Another interesting feature is a surround-view camera, with 14 different views outside the vehicle.
You may also count on a long list of safety and driver-assistance features, including GM’s Super Cruise, a semi-autonomous driving system that can steer, navigate, brake, and accelerate by its own on more than 200.000 miles of roads across North America.
2024 GMC Hummer EV2 SUV Powertrain, Battery and Performance
Unlike the already presented Edition 1 model, which comes with three electric motors, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV2 SUV will come with a more basic setup that includes two electric motors and a smaller battery pack. However, it will still be a very capable SUV, with a max output of 625 horsepower. When it comes to the battery capacity, the exact numbers are not available, but the company claims that this version will be able to make around 250 miles on a single charge.
When it comes to charging, the new SUV will come standard with a 400-volt DC fast charger, which can be upgraded to 800 volts.
2024 GMC Hummer EV2 SUV Release Date and Price
As we already mentioned, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV2 SUV will probably hit the market in the first half of the next year. When it comes to the price, it should start at around 80.000 dollars, without a destination fee.
