2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe, Interior, Release date, Turbo, Hybrid

The current generation of Porche’s flagship crossover has been around since 2019 and it looks like it’s time for updates. If we can trust latest reports, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne will bring a couple of styling updates, which seems natural, considering that this will be the fifth production year of the generation. At this point, we know for sure that there will be some styling tweaks. Other than that, we don’t expect to see anything more notable.

Despite the updates, the overall layout will remain the same. In other words, we are about to see the same overall layout, which offers pretty incredible engineering. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind about this crossover is athletic handling, as well as a broad range of capable powertrains. Also, we like the well-designed cabin, as well as a pretty long list of standard equipment, which could become even longer after the update.

Given the expected update, we presume that the 2023 Cayenne will hit the market a little bit earlier than usual, but still within the second half of 2022.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Design

As we already mentioned, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne is about to receive an update and from what we can hear, the focus will be on aesthetics. We expect to see novelties in various areas but all of them should be pretty subtle, in a typical Porsche fashion. We count on a few revisions at the front, while the rear end is about to bring new taillights. Of course, we also count on new color options, wheels and similar kinds of updates.

On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the car is about to remain the same. This vehicle is about to carry on with the same MLB platform and parts shared with models like Audi Q7, Lamborghini Urus etc. The Cayenne offers athletic handling but remains reasonably comfortable at the same time.

Interior

We don’t believe that too many changes could happen on the inside. Instead, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne is about to carry on with the same cabin design, which combines conservative and modern aesthetics. Everything looks really nice in terms of the dashboard look, while we also like the materials, as well as the overall build quality.

When it comes to the passenger space, the standard SUV versions offer a lot of room in both rows of seats. So, we could say that the Cayenne accommodates five adults with ease. Both rows are generous with space, while front seats offer great side support as well. The driving position is very good too.

In terms of cargo space, the standard version is good for about 27.2 cubic feet behind the second row and 60.3 cubic feet in total. The Coupe version is good for about 22 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 54.3 cubic feet in total. Both ratings are below average for the segment.

Features

Of course, the upcoming update will certainly bring a couple of novelties regarding standard equipment but we believe that most of the things will remain the same as in the current model. For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, Bluetooth, four USB ports, satellite radio, and a 10-speaker stereo. Additionally, you can get upgrades like a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 10-inch touch screens, wireless device charging, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, and a 21-speaker Burmester surround-sound system, as well as a panoramic moonroof, quad-zone climate control etc. We presume some of these options could become standard next year.

The same thing goes for safety features. Currently, all models come standard with front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, while things like lane change assist, lane keep assist, a night vision camera, a surround-view parking camera system, a head-up display, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition are available.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Engines

The engine offer will probably remain the same. So, base models will continue with a 3.0-liter turbo-V6, which puts out around 340 horsepower. There is also a higher-revving 2.9-liter turbocharged V6, which is good for about 434 horsepower. The V8 offer starts with the GTS, which features a max output of 453 horsepower. The Cayenne Turbo is good for about 541 horsepower. Finally, there is the Turbo GT with 631 horsepower.

When it comes to hybrids, the e-Hybrid is based on a V6 and puts out 455 horsepower. On the other hand, the V8-based Turbo S e-hybrid puts out 670 horsepower.

All models come coupled with 8-speed automatic transmission.
