2023 Hyundai Palisade: Facelift on the Way!?

0

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade will represent the fourth production year of this amazing SUV and if we can trust the latest reports, it will receive a mid-cycle refresh. The company’s biggest SUV has already established its position on the market and it marks some pretty good sales numbers. However, the Korean manufacturer wants more and that should be achieved with an update that includes mostly visual changes but could bring other kinds of novelties as well. At this point, we are still waiting for the officials.

The focus of this update will be the styling. On the other hand, the overall layout will remain the same. So, we are about to see a well-known vehicle, which offers a lot of great things, starting from nice interior quality and plenty of passenger space. Furthermore, we like the comfortable ride, as well as a pretty long list of standard equipment. Furthermore, the infotainment system is easy to use, while the engine offers an adequate amount of power.

We expect that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade should receive a typical mid-cycle update. At this point, the officials are still quiet but are pretty sure that this refresh will be mostly about aesthetics. This particularly refers to the front end, which should get a completely new look. If we can trust renders, the new face will have a lot in common with the new Tucson. This refers to the grille and headlights in particular. The rear end could also come with a couple of novelties, while we also expect to see things like new wheels, color options etc.

On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle is about to remain the same. As a result, the ride quality should remain the same as well, which is a good thing. This SUV doesn’t offer particularly athletic handling but the level of comfort is on a pretty high level. Also, the SUV is easy to drive and feels smaller behind the wheel than it actually is.

Interior

On the inside, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade could get a couple of novelties, but we are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same. The current model looks really nice from the inside, as it combines fancy materials with the good build quality. Also, there are several tech features that make everything look even more upscale.

Still, the Palisade’s strongest point is interior space. This three-row SUV offers plenty of room for eight passengers. It is one of the rare mid-size SUVs where all three rows can accommodate adults. Also, the cargo area is very generous with space. You may count on about 18 cubic feet of space behind its third-row seats, 45.8 cubic feet with these seats folded, and a total of 86.4 cubic feet. Those are quite good numbers for the class.

Features

Novelties in this aspect are always possible but if we consider that the current model already stands pretty well in this aspect, we presume that most of the things will remain the same. Currently, the base model comes standard with an 8-inch touch screen, HD Radio, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, you can get upgrades like a 10.25-inch touch screen, navigation, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, satellite radio, additional USB ports, wireless device charging, a sunroof, dual sunroofs, dual-zone automatic climate control, an intercom, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, push-button start, and remote start etc.

When it comes to safety, the current model comes standard with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, vehicle exit warning etc.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Engine

Under the hood, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will continue with the same 3.8-liter V6 engine, which puts out 291 horsepower and comes in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission. The power delivery is smooth and we can say that the SUV has enough power to ensure a pretty convenient ride. Furthermore, the eight-speed automatic transmission works pretty well too.

In terms of fuel economy, you may count on 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. That’s typical for the class. Of course, models with all-wheel drive are slightly thirstier.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price

Considering the expected update, we presume that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will hit the market earlier than usual, but still within the second half of 2022. Base models should go around 34.000 dollars. When it comes to competition, there are several potential rivals, such as Chevy Traverse, VW Atlas, Honda Pilot etc.
