2023 Lexus LX600 Is Gettin Off-Road Version

0

The LX has finally been redesigned, after fifteen years. The new generation debuted for the 2022 model year, with all kinds of novelties. Although completely new, with all kinds of upgrades, the new generation remained trusted to its original nature, which means a great balance between luxury and off-road performance. However, we are yet about to see the model’s full off-road potential, considering that the initial version came with a limited number of off-road features. According to the latest reports, the 2023 Lexus LX600 will change this, as the new Offroad trim is expected.

Other than the new trim level, which will bring all kinds of off-road upgrades, the 2023 Lexus LX600 will continue in the same way, with familiar design and features. This SUV has so many great things to offer, starting from the good performance, smooth ride and generous list of standard equipment.

Despite the potential novelties, we don’t expect to see the 2023 Lexus LX600 before the last quarter of the year.

The 2023 Lexus LX600 will represent the second production year and therefore, it’s hard to believe that bigger changes could happen. We are about to see a familiar layout, based on the new TNGA-F platform, the same one that underpins the new Tundra and Sequoia. Compared to the previous generation, the new model features new styling, as well as a significantly upgraded suspension setup, which makes the ride smoother than before.

For the second production year, the most anticipated thing is the new Offroad trim. This version already had a premiere in Japan and from what we can see, it comes with various upgrades. The most notable are locking differentials. We are about to see three of them – front, rear and center. Furthermore, count on further suspension upgrades, skid plates and similar things. Of course, we also count on various exclusive styling details, which will accentuate the model’s off-road character.

Interior

On the inside, the 2023 Lexus LX600 will continue in the same way. The recent redesign brought a completely new cabin design, which looks way more modern than before. Besides the more attractive design, the new cabin also features finer materials and even better build quality. The dashboard is highlighted by a pair of screens, which cover pretty much all controls. Still, it’s good that the company has kept a decent number of physical controls, which makes everything easier.

The new model isn’t significantly bigger than the previous generation, so the amount of space isn’t much different either. The first two rows are very generous with space and very comfortable. On the other hand, the third row is tight.

Features

Another thing to like about this SUV is a long list of standard equipment. The base model comes standard with a couple of infotainment screens with 12.3 and 7 inches diagonally, as well as with navigation, heated front seats, 10-speaker audio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, Wi-Fi hotspot etc. The base model is also equipped with all kinds of safety features, such as forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automated parking system, surround-view camera etc.

Of course, there are many more things to get in higher trim levels. Speaking of the trim levels, the organization includes the base LX trim, as well as  Premium, F Sport Handling, Luxury and Ultra Luxury trims. New for the next year should be the aforementioned Offroad trim, with all kinds of off-road features.

The recent redesign brought a completely new powertrain. Instead of the good-old V8, the new generation comes with a new 3.4-liter turbo V6, which features a max output of 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, and comes coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The second production year could bring the hybrid version to the offer. We presume we would see the same powertrain as in the new Tundra, which features a max output of 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
