The 2019 Mazda CX-9 is going to be one of the most exciting three-row crossovers. It will inherit characteristics from its predecessors. Although it is a full-size three-row SUV, its handling is superb. Also, when you add excellent mileage, it is obvious why buyers are so in love with this vehicle. However, passengers in the third row don’t have so much space. Also, cargo room is not so spacious. Other SUVs in the same class are better in this segment. It might be tight, but the interior is full of cool features. The CX-9 is not a luxurious model, but it is very close to it.
2019 Mazda CX-9 engine
Under the hood of the 2019 Mazda CX-9 is again a 2.5-l turbo-four drivetrain. It could be strange to see a 4-cylinder engine in the full-size class of SUVs. But, it works great with a 6-speed auto gearbox. Most of its competitors are using a bigger displacement. It might lack acceleration among the top vehicles, but Mazda CX-9 SUV can run to 60 mph faster than many others. However, its highlight is the fuel economy. The crossover in 2019 will go 30 mpg on the highway, and probably 23 mpg in the city. With these numbers, CX-9 is the best in the class.
2019 Mazda CX-9 features
Although packed with so many hi-tech features, the 2019 Mazda CX-9 is not a luxurious crossover. This is, however, another advantage over the competition. First of all, the vehicle’s cabin is very quiet. Also, there is a two-zone climate control. However, the third row is tight. It can be suitable for kids, but even shorter passengers will have a problem with accommodation. Seating position is at 28.3 inches, which provide excellent visibility. The new model will improve the blind spot, especially areas hidden by A-pillars.
2019 Mazda CX-9 release date and price
The launch of the 2019 Mazda CX-9 should happen late in 2018. While we are waiting for it, we will probably see what new Honda Pilot is bringing for 2019 season. Nevertheless, Mazda is not going to change the base price of its crossover. It will start from $33,000 or even couple of hundred dollars less.
