The first spy shots of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe came out. We know this model is coming, and now it is obvious this will happen very soon. Nevertheless, there are not many spy photos. Also, the heavy cover is hiding most of the vehicle. But, we could expect only minor changes on this crossover. The 2019 Chevy Tahoe will probably be the last SUV of the 4th generation. The new model, with a lot of updates, new engine lineup and styling will be available in 2020. By then, the carmaker is not going to put too much effort on the redesign of the current generation.
2019 Chevrolet Tahoe changes
Under minor changes, we expect from 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe to update its interior systems. Some features will be added, and some removed. Existing equipment can expect updates. Outside and inside crossover could get new color schemes. This will refresh the model and make it interesting while fans are waiting for a new one. Of course, MyLink infotainment system is going to suffer big updates. Some rumors are saying that all-new system is on the way, and 2019 Tahoe could be the first one to have it. Drive system will come without changes, although experts are not sure if the new 10-speed transmission will be ready for crossover.
2019 Chevrolet Tahoe drivetrain
The drive system of 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe includes a 5.3-l V-8 drivetrain. This unit can make 355 hp with direct injection. Torque level is at 385 lb-ft and it remains at the same level for upcoming Chevy Tahoe. The full-size crossover is using a rear-wheel drive as a standard offer, while AWD is available as an optional model. Mileage of 23 mpg on the highway is not so bad for such big displacement and 7-seat crossover.
2019 Chevrolet Tahoe trim levels and prices
Entry-level model of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe is an LS SUV with 5.3-l engine and RWD. It will cost probably over $50,000. Next trim is LT model with more options and higher price. Leather seats, Bose audio, and few other additions raise the price for $5,000. Top of the class is Premier model with a price tag of $65,000 at least for RWD. We still don’t know if this version comes again with the 6.2-l V-8 engine. This could make Tahoe one of the most expensive crossovers in the class with the cost of at least $75,000. It is more than any other Chevy SUV, including Traverse.
