2018 Nissan X-trail

Compact crossover class is getting boosts for 2018. In that year, we will see new Audi Q3, BMW X3 and VW Tiguan. Nevertheless, Nissan prepares their response in this segment. We are sure that 2018 Nissan X-trail won’t be late, and much behind mentioned models. With boosts all over the vehicle, we can expect it fresh and up to date. Attention is on all parts, so changes are coming inside the crossover, outside and under the hood. We are sure that X-trail is going to borrow some parts from other Nissan and Infiniti SUVs. This makes prediction easier, since there is no official info about the vehicle.

V-motion grille is the biggest change up front. However, headlights and bumper also have new look. Furthermore, hood lines are more aggressive than before. But, there are some details that remind us on classic models of this SUV. Standard model is getting 17-inch wheels, while upper trims are coming with 18-inchers. As some other products from same company, 2018 Nissan X-trail will be available in three trim levels. We believe entry-level crossover is going to be S, and higher levels SL and SV. LED running lights and cloth upholstery are in base model, while top of the class vehicle offers dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery and heated front seats.

2018 Nissan X-trail engine

New 2018 Nissan X-trail could use the same diesel engine as current model. It is 1.6-l 4-cylinder powertrain with 130 horsepower. It can reach 125 mph, and 60 mph in just 11 seconds. A 6-speed transmission distributes power to front or all wheels. However 4×4 drive system offers better stability and traction. Same transmission could be paired with 2.5-liter I-4 petrol unit. This engine is capable to deliver 180 hp and it is significantly higher than diesel. It offers less torque level, but higher mpg rate. These numbers are especially notable on highway.

Since current X-trail is relatively fresh on the market, we don-t expect new model so soon. Its premiere could happen even in mid-2018. Nevertheless, cost of 2018 Nissan X-trail is more predictable. Experts believe, it will start from between $28,000 and $30,000, even with many changes. Situation can be different only if hybrid variant appears.
