Luxurious, 7-seater crossover from GMC is on the way for 2018 season. New premium SUV is going to offer probably everything you can imagine in such vehicle, but it will be reflected in price. Current model will be very similar to upcoming, but with slight modifications at right places, 2018 GMC Acadia can impress its fans and enthusiasts. Except styling tweaks, we are getting updates in engine room. With upgrades, US carmaker hopes to get in line with top crossovers in US, and battle it is going to be very interesting, since many other companies announced new models for upcoming years.
2018 GMC Acadia engine
There are two versions of engines getting connected to new crossover. According to first one, the 2018 GMC Acadia is getting power from 3.6-l V6, which is capable of delivering around 300 horses and 280 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, drivetrain sends power to front wheels, and it is good for 25 mpg combined. There will be also AWD system offered, but with less fuel-friendly output. Nevertheless, for users that seek better mileage, GMC is preparing 4-cylinder unit. Less power, around 200 hp, and torque, 190 lb-ft, come from 2.5-l engine. However, better fuel economy is guaranteed, and we suppose this version can make at least 29 mpg combined. Transmission and drive systems are the same with this drivetrain.
2018 GMC Acadia redesign
Styling of the 2018 GMC Acadia is pretty much the same as the model that is coming out. However, changes applied to new crossover can make impact on overall comfort and driving impression. By using less heavy materials, new SUV will get better cornering and handling. Larger body and nice seating layout are making ride with Acadia more pleasurable. Shortage of legroom could be felt only in third row. Larger touchscreen display is where most of the controls are used from. Not only one version is going to be launched, since SL trim will be base model, and three more with additional equipment are offered. Top of the range is Denali model with hi-tech package and more safety features.

As usual, buyers must accept poor 3rd row legroom, because carmakers don’t care

Buy the 2018 Traverse or Enclave if you want a more comfortable third row! Or the Subura Ascent! LOL!
