Audi is one of the companies that keeps pace at top level and beats the rivals with its innovations and reliable models. Unpredictable moves, that usually show up as successful, is why German carmaker established itself at the top of pecking order in car industry. One of the signs of their clever moves is new crossover, 2018 Audi SQ7, which comes as diesel, but with high performance and excellent fuel economy. This is unexpected since model is made for US market, and users across the ocean are not so keen on this type of vehicles. But, against the odds, officials in German company believe SQ7 is going to achieve good selling records.
2018 Audi SQ7 engine
The 2018 Audi SQ7 is going to use big 4.0-l diesel powered V8 powertrain. With power output of 435 horses and torque level of 664 lb-ft, this model is going to be one of the strongest on the market. Although it is taking much fuel for these numbers, new SQ7 is economical and more fuel-friendly than its rivals. This is not the only option since hybrid model could be launched. Diesel engine is going to be paired with electric motor, probably with 13 kW battery. It is going to replace traditional supercharger. Engine will be connected to the compressor via shaft. There is a lot of work to be done on this unit, but we are sure that new crossover is going to meet requirements of EPA regulations.
2018 Audi SQ7 redesign
Look of the 2018 Audi SQ7 will be elegant, but no radical moves are to be done on it. Stylish details, like silver caps on the side mirrors, are used to break the monochrome. There is also bold trapezoidal grille, at which ends are LED lamps. Double arrow running lamps are colored in gray to match bumper. Base models ride on 20-inch grey wheels. While there are 22-inchers available for higher levels of crossover. Aggressiveness on the back is boosted with quad-tip exhaust system.
Inside, a lot of modern features are installed, including analog gauges, flat-bottomed steering wheel and aluminum pedals. Premium leather with diamond stitching is bringing cabin of the 2018 SQ7 to the next level.
