Source of power for the 2017 Peugeot 3008 is in 3- and 4-cylinder units. Also, petrol and diesel variants are available, and hybrid could be offered, but after some while. Base unit should be 1.2-l 3-cylinder drivetrain. It is the same engine exploited by Peugeot 308. There, front-wheel drive comes standard, and same situation is with new Peugeot 3008. However, higher trims get AWD as additional option. Four-cylinder engine comes with 1.6-l displacement. It can deliver 154 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
2017 Peugeot 3008 diesel
Beside petrol units, new Peugeot 3008 will be available in diesel variant. Two powerplants are prepared. A 1.6-l four-cylinder unit can develop 108 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, while bigger, 2.0-l motor offers 161 hp, and lineup top, 251 pound-feet of torque. If hybrid variant appears, electric motor is going to be mated to diesel unit. This could be first vehicle to be massively produced with combination of diesel and electric power.
2017 Peugeot 3008 release and competition
Experts predict that one of the biggest European car shows in 2016 will host premiere of brand-new vehicle. It will probably be Geneva or Paris. Crossover is launched as 2017 year model and price is going to be modified.
