Japanese carmaker Nissan is one of the leader in crossover segment. That’s why company is preparing refreshed 2017 Nissan X-Trail, which comes out as a part of cooperation of Japanese manufacturer with Renault. 2017 Nissan X-Trail drivetrain

On the other hand, crossovers segment always need little more power and that is where Japanese company also meet demands. Under the hood of the new 2017 Nissan X-Trail should be 2.5-l inline-four drivetrain. Output from this unit is 170 horses, and it also offers 180 lb-ft of torque. This is not the only powertrain developed for 2017 X-Trail. There will be also diesel and hybrid options. Diesel is 1.6-l four-cylinder with 145 horsepower, and hybrid model adds electric batteries to this unit, boosting its output to 185 hp total. Both engines are paired with 6-speed CVT, while manual and automatic is optional. Power is transformed to front wheels by default, or all wheels at buyer’s choice.

The 2017 Nissan X-Trail will be updated. Many changes will be applied outside the crossover, starting from fog lights and bumpers. Nevertheless, some new lines will also add more aggressiveness to overall appearance. Grille is revisited and new 17-inch alloy wheels are installed for entry level models, while larger, 18-inch are prepared for higher trims. In the cabin there is room for seven passengers. Seats are covered with leather, as well as steering wheel.
