The 2017 Mercedes-Benz Coupe is coming as company’s response to the BMW’s X4 model. This practically means that company will now have one additional model in the lineup of crossovers. New model will come based on the standard GLC model, eventually on C-Class sedan. Compared to GLC, 2017 GLC Coupe will be pretty much identical in mechanical aspect. On the other side, outside look will be different. Front end will be identical, which is expected, but back end will come completely different. It will feature coupe-like body line, with many styling solutions borrowed from C-Class sedan. However, many of design cues will borrowed from some other models, especially from astonishing S-Class Coupe. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will feature beautiful sculpted two-door body, which will definitely be one of the most attractive company’s models so far.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe interior

The cabin will feature classic-coupe 2+2 seats layout. Interior will have pretty much same styling as standard GLC or C-Class. However, there will be one big difference, according to the latest reports. The 2017 Mercedes GLC Coupe should feature completely digital dashboard, similar to one that can be found on S-Class Coupe.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe engines

When it is about engines, 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe should feature same engines as standard GLC model. The base unit should be 2.0 liter petrol engine with 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The other petrol unit will be a 3.0 liter V6, which will be good enough for 329 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. The 2017 GLC Coupe will be also available with 2.1 liter diesel engine, which outputs 168 horses. It is also expected that in next few years we will see this model powered by 4.0 liter V8 with output between 450 and 500 horses.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe release date and competition

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will be presented this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Production model will come next year. Main rival of this model will be BMW X4.
