The QX50 is a compact luxury crossover, produced by Nissan’s luxury division Infiniti. It was originally launched in 2007 and since then, it is an entry level model of this brand. This model was earlier known under the EX name, but when second generation came in 2013, it was renamed to QX50. After three years of productions, a so-called mid-cycle refresh is expected. The 2017 Infiniti QX50 is expected to come refreshed. It will go under several modifications. Most of the changes will be made outside the car. Some modifications will be made inside the cabin, while mechanical part will remain pretty much untouched.
2017 Infiniti QX50 changes
The base characteristics of the 2017 Infiniti QX50 will remain the same. Mechanical part of the crossover will remain unchanged, while its visual appearance will be modified significantly. As it is usually case with mid-cycle refresh, most of the changes will come at the front end. The 2017 QX50 will come with redesigned front fascia. New front end will come with revisited grille and headlights, while bumper will be redesigned too. Rear end won’t feature so big changes. New model will also come with novelties like new 19-inch alloy wheels and LED indicators on the mirrors. Interior of 2017 Infiniti QX50 will also feature some changes. It will come with the same base styling, but we expect to see novelties like new materials, color options and new standard features. Infotainment system will be updated and premium audio system will be standard feature now.
2017 Infiniti QX50 under the hood
As we already mentioned, mechanical part of the crossover remains unchanged. This means that 2017 Infiniti QX50 will be powered with the same 3.7 liter V6 engine. This well-known and proven engine is good enough for 325 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Transmission also remains the same. It is a seven-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, with manual model. The base 2017 QX50 will feature RWD, while AWD system will be optional.
2017 QX50 release date and price
The exact date of arrival of 2017 Infiniti QX50 is still unknown. At this point we only know that it will come somewhere next year. The price is expected to remain unchanged, which means around 35.000 dollars for the base model.
