The Q7 is a full size luxury crossover, produced by German car maker Audi. It was originally launched in 2005, while U.S. model came in 2007. It is the flagship model of the company, when it is about SUVs. After almost ten years of production and several updates, we will finally see the next-generation model. Second generation was presented at the last International Auto Show and production model is expected to come very soon. New model will firstly come in Europe, while North American model will probably come next year, as 2017 Audi Q7.
2017 Audi Q7 redesign
The 2017 Audi Q7 will come completely redesigned. It will come with plenty of changes, in all aspects of the car. This crossover will ride on the VW’s versatile MLB 2 platform, which under prints several other models of this size. It will come with new body, which will be made of extra light materials. It should be for about 700 pounds lighter, compared to current models, which means much better performances. When it is about exterior styling, 2017 Audi Q7 will come with new look, which won’t be radically changed, compared to original. It will completely follow new design language of the company. However, we will see a much more car-like, sport-wagon look, instead of a traditional SUV appearance.

The 2017 Audi Q7 will get completely new cabin. Thanks to the new platform, it will be more spacious that its predecessor. Just like original model, it will be available with three rows of seats. When it is about styling, we will see new, more stylish and more driver-oriented cabin. The 2017 Q7 will come with horizontally oriented control board, cockpit-like layer of controls just ahead of the driver and plenty of hi-tech features. It will come with new infotainment system, which will be run through large touchscreen.
2017 Audi Q7 engine
The 2017 Audi Q7 will be offered in several variants for the U.S. market, when it is about engines. Two already known units will carry over from current-generation model. Those are 3.0 liter V6 petrol engine with 333 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque and 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine with 272 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of twist. We will also see one new engine in offer. It is a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder petrol unit, with 252 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of max torque. Finally, there will be a hybrid variant in offer too. It will use the same six-cylinder diesel unit paired with 94-kW electric motor and total output will be 373 horses and 516 pound-feet of torque. The 2017 Q7 will come with new 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

The second generations of this crossover is expected to come in early 2016, as 2017 Audi Q7. Base model is expected to go around 50.000 dollars.
