The XC70 is a mid-size crossover, produced by Swedish manufacturer Volvo. It was originally launched in 1996 and so far we have seen three generations of it. The current model was released in 2007. It is based on V70 model, and if we consider that it is about nine years old. When it is about engines, there are plenty of possibilities. The 2016 Volvo XC70 will be powered with many engines. The base model will use a new 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. There is also a well-known 3.2 liter six-cylinder engine which makes also 240 horses. There is also a 3.0 liter inline-six engine with 300 horsepower. Older engines use a six-speed automatic, while new engines are paired with new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2016 Volvo XC70 will come late this year. Price is expected to remain unchanged, which means around 35.000 dollars for base model.
