The Mokka is a subcompact crossover designed, engineered and produced by German manufacturer Opel. It was launched in 2012 as an all-new model and so far it marks good sales results. It is an entry-level SUV and it stands below Antara model. It is also known under some other names. In United Kingdom it is known as Vauxhall Mokka, while in North America it uses Buick Encore name. After three years of production, it seems that company plans to make some modifications. The 2016 Opel Mokka will come refreshed, with several changes. It will feature new front fascia and some other visual tweaks, while interior is also expect to come with some changes.
2016 Opel Mokka changes
The testing model has been spotted. The 2016 Opel Mokka wears a camouflage and according to covered areas, it looks like most of the changes will come at the front, which is pretty much expected. It is still hard to say what is hidden under the camouflage, but we expect to see new front fascia with reshaped grille and revisited headlights. Those parts will be adapted to the company’s new design language. It is expected that rear end will also come with changes, so expect to see new taillights and some other tweaks, which will follow those styling changes from the front. When it is about interior, it is expected that 2016 Opel Mokka will features some changes too. However, we still don’t know what exactly will be modified. There are rumors that new model will come with revisited dashboard but, for now, it is just a speculation.
2016 Opel Mokka engine
When it is about engines, we expect no changes. The base 2016 Opel Mokka will be powered by 1.6 four-cylinder engine with 113 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. There will be two more petrol engines in offer. First one is 1.8 liter I-4, which outputs 138 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. Finally, there is a 1.4 liter Turbocharged engine which is good for 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of max torque. There will be also a diesel engine in offer. It is a 1.6 liter CDTI EcoFLEX 134 horses and 236 pound-feet of twist. All engines for 2016 Opel Mokka will be available with either 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

We expect to see this refreshed model in late 2015/early 2016 period. The 2016 Opel Mokka is expected to come with pretty much unchanged price, compared to current model.
