The Pathfinder was originally introduced in 1985. In company’s lineup it takes place between Murano and Armada or Patrol. During these three decades of production, we have seen four generations of it. Current model came in 2012 and although it is pretty much fresh model, company constantly works on its improvement. Last-year model came with several updates such as new trims, improved powertrain etc. This year we expect to see 2016 Nissan Pathfinder which will, according to rumors, come with even more changes. It should come both with exterior and interior modifications, while drivetrain should remain unchanged.

When it is about outside look, 2016 Nissan Pathfinder will come with some minor modifications. The base look of the SUV will remain the same, but it seems that rear end will come with some changes. 2016 Nissan Pathfinder under the hood
When it is about engines, changes are not expected. The 2016 Nissan Pathfinder will be offered in two variants. The base model will be powered by 3.5 liter V6, which is good enough for 260 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. There will be also a hybrid model in offer. This model is powered by configuration which is consisted of 2.5 liter petrol engine and 15-kW electric motor. This system is designed to provide similar amount of power as V6 unit, but with about 30 percent better fuel economy. Its total output is around 250 horses and 243 pound-feet of twist. It will come with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and it will be available both in FWD and AWD configurations.

Exact date of launch is still unknown, but we expect to see 2016 Nissan Pathfinder late this year, eventually in early 2016. Price for the base model is expected to go around 28.000, while highest trims will go all away up to 50.000 dollars.
