For the North American market, 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be offered in two variants. The base model will be powered by 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. Optional engine will be new 1.6 liter Turbocharged four-cylinder, which outputs 175 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. When it is about transmission, 6-speed automatic will be available for both engines, while new 7-speed DCT transmission will be available only with 1.6 turbocharged unit. It is worth to mention that company presented two hybrid concepts also. One is hybrid electric, while the other is diesel-powered plug-in hybrid.
