The Acadia is a full-size crossover SUV produced by GMC. It was originally in 2006. Just like other models of this brand, it has its mechanical twin under the Chevrolet, called Traverse. It also shares many of characteristics with Buick Enclave. After nine years of production and only one facelift, original model will be finally redesigned. Second-generation model will come as 2016 GMC Acadia and it will feature many improvements. However, those modifications won’t be so radical. This crossover is a family car, so its interior will be spacious and very comfortable. The 2016 GMC Acadia will be able to accommodate eight passengers. Interior will be redesigned and beside new styling, it will also feature higher-quality materials and plenty of latest technologies.

According to the latest reports, 2016 GMC Acadia will use the same engine as current model. It is a 3.6 V6 engine, which has maximum output of 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. We still don’t have information will new model will keep same characteristics or it will come with some improvements both in terms of power and fuel economy. It is expected that current 6-speed automatic transmission will also remains. The 2016 Acadia will be available both in FWD and AWD configurations.

The 2016 GMC Acadia is expected to be launched early next year. Price will go in a wide range. Base model will cost around 35.000, while best-equipped models could go up to 50.000 dollars.
