The Duster is a compact SUV produced by Renault’s subsidiary Dacia. This model originally came in 2010 and it is the third model based on Logan’s platform, after Logan and Sandero. New model was very well accepted and nowadays it is very popular in many parts of the world. It is offered on many markets such as Europe, Russia, South America, China, India etc. After several years of production, it was refreshed in late 2013. This refresh brought many changes, mostly visual. Now it is turn for mechanical modifications and 2016 Dacia Duster will surely come with some.
2016 Dacia Duster new engine
So far, this SUV was available with several engines, but now there is one more unit in offer. The 2016 Dacia Duster will come with new 1.2 liter turbo engine made by Renault, which will have maximum output of 123 horsepower. This amount of power is pretty much equal to some naturally-aspirated 2.0 liter engine, so you shouldn’t be worried about engine’s small displacement. This engine will have max torque of around 250 Nm, so great off-road abilities are guaranteed. The 2016 Duster with this new engine will use 6-speed transmission and it will come in AWD configurations. Beside this engine, there are also proven units in offer like 1.5 liter dCi diesel or 1.6 liter petrol engine.
2016 Dacia Duster redesign
The basic design of 2016 Dacia Duster will remain unchanged. It will come with the pretty much same characteristics as facelifted model that came few years ago. This update included mostly visual changes, mainly at the front end. Compared to original model, it features revisited front fascia with new chrome grille and new headlights. There are also several new details such as restyled roof bar or new 16-inch wheels. Interior of new Dacia Duster will come with pretty much the same characteristics and changes will be modest, when it is about styling. On the other side, improvements are expected in terms of technologies and new standard features.
2016 Dacia Duster release date
The 2016 Dacia Duster will come late this year. Only in UK and other “right-wheel” markets it will probably come in early 2016. Finally price will remain unchanged.
