The 2016 Acura MDX uses company’s well-known and proven engine. It is a 3.5 liter V6 unit, which delivers 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. In order to improve fuel economy, it comes with Variable Cylinder Management, which shuts down three of the six cylinders during cruising and deceleration. The 2016 MDX comes with new 9-speed automatic transmission, which features push-button interface instead of a traditional shift lever or paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
